Job Details:
Back-end Development:
• Extensive Universe creation skills using BOE 4.0 IDT (.UNX Universes) against both relational datasources and SAP BW (both JCO and relational connection)
• Knowledgeable of SAP BW tables and datamodels as it relates to Universe creation
• Ability to make recommendations for BW data model enhancements to enable more efficient BO Universe creation if appropriate
• Knowledgeable of the differences between BICS, JCO, and Relational connection options to SAP BW
• Ability to use Data Federation Administration Tool for troubleshooting
• BOE CMC Administration skills a plus (security admin, Access Levels, promotion management, etc)
Front-end Analysis/Development:
• Ability to analyze BEX queries as a requirement for a specification to build relational universes
• Knowledgeable of Webi Report creation with BEX Queries using BICS and Relational Universe connections
Activities:
• Test and validate the current security model for Universe design and application report writing working with BOE Admin
• Work independently to migrate existing BEX Queries to Universes and build universe-based queries
• Support Divisional project teams in Universe creation both relational (SAP and non-SAP) and BW-based to satisfy requirements
• Build Webi Reports to specification (both as BEX query replacements and new Webi’s from universes).
